Lifting what others tear down

Why we exist

To save structures instead of tearing them down. Every building we lift is a building recycled, and that adds up to thousands of tonnes a year that never reach the dumpster.

It also explains where we go to work: the Far North, the islands, the peninsulas. The places where it is simpler for everyone to demolish.

A rare skill

Lifting and moving structures is uncommon work. Few contractors offer it, and nobody specializes in the Far North any more. That is our niche, and it is what lets us put a solution on the table where others only see demolition.

The company was founded twelve years ago by Vincent Bédard. It is a member of the International Association of Structural Movers.

Two service points

Rimouski and the Magdalen Islands. In the Islands we have been the only provider for six years. From those two bases we work across the Lower St. Lawrence, Gaspésie, Nunavik and Labrador.

One method per structure

No two structures are lifted the same way. The equipment is matched to the load and the access, and fabricated on site when nothing existing will do: removable axles, extendable platforms, purpose-made beams.

Our crew is small and versatile. It covers hydraulics, structure, machinery and transport, which removes the grey zones between trades. Our sites are kept clean, and it shows.

We also hold privileged access to the equipment fleet of one of the world’s largest manufacturers of structural moving machinery.

What we actually sell

A window that holds. We cost more than average, and we deliver inside the window we were given, first time. On a mine site or at a generating station, that is the only thing that really counts.

Residential, heavy commercial and industrial

Houses, apartment blocks, mining camps, control buildings, hangars and oversized equipment. Residential work is still offered where we are established.
